PROPOSAL · LOCAL SEO & GOOGLE MAPS

Google doesn't know
where you are.
Your customers do.

Pina Excavating is the #1 website result for excavation searches in Grass Valley, yet invisible on the Google map where most customers choose who to call, because the internet shows the business under four names in four cities. This plan fixes the identity, turns on the reviews, and then points ads anywhere you want to grow.

I went through your website, your Google Business Profile, your directory listings across the web, and every competitor that shows up for excavation searches in your markets. Here is the honest picture.

What's working

  • Your website is the #1 result on Google for "excavation contractor grass valley ca," holding two of the top ten spots.
  • You have the deepest website in the market: 16 pages. Competitors have between 1 and 9.
  • Your story is stronger than your website tells it: five decades, family-owned since the Los Angeles days, featured in CalContractor Magazine, and on Butte County's approved contractor list for Park Fire and Thompson Fire debris removal. Nobody in your market can copy that.
What's not working
  • When someone searches for an excavation contractor near them, Google shows a map with the top 3 businesses before any websites. You are not on that map anywhere. Most local customers call someone from it.
  • Google doesn't know where you are. The internet currently shows your business under four names in four cities: Olivehurst on your website, Grass Valley on BuildZoom and the builders exchange, Lincoln on Yelp, and a Google profile with no address that resolves to the middle of Fresno County. To Google, that looks like four companies sharing one phone number.
  • Your Google profile is categorized as a "Demolition contractor", not an excavating contractor, and has zero reviews.
  • Your homepage headline says "Excavating Services for Los Angeles," diluting everything the Grass Valley pages have earned.
  • There is no tracking on your website. Nobody can tell you how many calls or quote requests it produces.

Your yard is in Olivehurst. That is not a problem; it's the best-kept secret in this plan.

  • The Yuba-Sutter map is wide open. The excavating contractors ranking in Yuba City and Marysville have between 1 and 8 reviews. With your profile fixed and anchored to your real yard, you can realistically own that map.
  • You already own the foothills organically. Grass Valley, Nevada City, Auburn: your site ranks there today. We deepen it so it stays that way.
  • Nobody has real service pages. Excavating, grading, land clearing, backfill and re-compacting, hauling, fire debris removal: no competitor has a page for any of them. Each one we build is a new way to be found.
  • Reviews are the whole gap. Your 50 years of past customers is a review engine nobody has turned on.

You want to serve a 60-mile radius and beyond. Here is honestly how each tool works, because they are not interchangeable:

google map profile
Location
Shows to people near your real yard. Wins Yuba-Sutter first, expands as reviews grow. Takes months, then compounds. Nobody can promise map rankings far from your location.
website pages
Content
Can rank in any city where we build a real page for it. Takes months, then compounds and keeps producing without ongoing spend.
google ads
Anywhere
Can target any city in California immediately: Roseville, Sacramento, Chico, anywhere. Costs spend, and stops when spend stops. This is the tool for width.

Foundation first, then ads for reach. That order is deliberate: ads convert far better landing on a fixed website with reviews behind it, and with tracking in place every dollar gets measured.

the plan · phase by phase
PipelineOS
Phase 1
First 30 days

The Google Business Profile, rebuilt

  • One canonical identity: one name, your real Olivehurst yard as the anchor (address hidden, service area set properly), one phone, everywhere
  • Correct categories (Excavating contractor primary), services, hours, and fresh photos including you and your crew
  • Review engine launched: your past customer list goes into a steady email drip asking for reviews with a direct link. Target: 15 to 20 reviews in 60 to 90 days
  • Tracking installed: call tracking, form tracking, Google Analytics, Search Console
Phase 2
Months 1–3

The website, revamped (not replaced)

  • Homepage redesigned around the real story: the family, the 50 years, the license, the fire-recovery credentials, photos of you, and clear service areas
  • A dedicated page for each service: excavating, grading, land clearing, backfill and re-compacting, hauling, fire debris removal
  • "Request a bid" quote form for the people who won't call, wired so every lead is tracked
  • City pages for the Yuba-Sutter home market; foothill pages strengthened; the Los Angeles confusion resolved
  • Citation cleanup: Yelp, BuildZoom, MapQuest, builders exchange and the rest corrected to the one true name, address, and phone; missing directories built
Phase 3
When the foundation is live

Paid ads for the cities you choose

  • Together we pick the target cities inside (or beyond) your 60-mile radius where you want more work
  • Landing pages and campaigns get built first; ads without dedicated landing pages waste money, so there is setup work before anything goes live
  • Ad spend is paid by you directly to Google with no markup; we manage the campaigns and report cost per lead in plain numbers
  • Google Ads only at this stage. Meta ads are cheap, but nobody scrolls Facebook looking for an excavation contractor; Google is where the buying searches happen
  • Week 1: access and onboarding (Google profile, website, past customer list, photos), short strategy call
  • Weeks 2–4: profile rebuilt, tracking live, review drip running
  • Months 2–3: homepage and service pages ship, citations corrected
  • Ongoing: monthly report in plain English (searches, calls, leads, reviews) and a check-in call

$2,000/mo
Service and city pages, review engine, profile management, reporting. 6-month minimum, then month to month.
first 6 months, all-in
$15,000
One mid-size excavation job covers it. The reviews, pages, and listings we build stay yours.

Phase 3 ads are optional and scoped when you're ready; ad spend goes from you to Google directly, no markup. We don't guarantee rankings; nobody honest can. We guarantee the work, the reporting, and a market where the bar is low and your head start is real.

  • You talk to me, not an account manager. I build everything myself.
  • Plain-English reporting. Monthly numbers on searches, calls, leads, and reviews. No vanity charts.
  • This is what I do. Local service companies: landscaping, demolition, pest control, pressure washing, auto glass. Same playbook every time: a strong Google profile, deep local pages, and tracking that proves it.
  • Recent example: a Roseville auto glass shop we manage went from invisible to the top of the map in its city and now tracks every lead from click to booked job.

Call or text me and we'll walk through this together. If it's a fit, the profile rebuild starts inside a week.
